We focus on fun and engaging activities!
We focus on fun and engaging activities!
Our lessons are specially designed for neurodiverse students to understand the fundamental concepts of science. We use engaging presentations with trivia questions and prizes to create an engaging classroom atmosphere.
We have special hands-on activities and experiments to keep students engaged and excited about science. Examples of these include models of the respiratory system, human body, and plant processes. At the end of each lesson, students have an assembled model they can take home!
Our program teaches students in ages 10–12 with autism, ADHD, and special needs at various nonprofit organizations, including the Friends of Children of Special Needs. All that is required is an inquisitive brain and an excited student!
The Sensory Lab
Science You Can Feel
Science shouldn’t be confined to hushed voices, bright lights, or heavy textbooks. For many neurodivergent learners, the traditional classroom can be a source of sensory overwhelm rather than a place of discovery. The Sensory Lab is our answer to that challenge.
We believe that science is a tactile, visual, and immersive experience. Our lessons are designed to be sensory-friendly, ensuring that every student can engage with concepts in a way that feels safe and exciting.
How We Do Science Differently:
Tactile Learning: From the squish of a polymer to the vibration of a sound wave, we focus on hands-on experiments that turn abstract ideas into physical realities.
Self-Paced Exploration: Students are encouraged to follow their own curiosity, spending as much time as they need to process and interact with each part of each activity.
In the Sensory Lab, we don't just teach science; we respect the nervous system of every student who walks through our doors. By removing the barriers of the "typical" classroom, we make room for the extraordinary insights that happen when a mind is at ease and free to explore.
